1. Compact size GSM 3G antenna The SXW-GSM-G7 is a low cost direct connect, stubby antenna tuned to the quad band GPRS / GSM (2G) and 3G frequencies. Despite its small size it performs at a high level that most stubby antennas meet the request of small space. 2. Waterproof durable TPEE/ABS material housing The omni directional, radiating element is over moulded in black high-grade rubber, which allows flexibility and provides a rugged stylish finish. It is waterproof CDMA WCDMA GPRS GSM antenna. 3. Inner sma male connector This is popular choice for portable equipment and radio modules with its small size. The antenna connector is recessed to form a skirt down onto the equipment. 4. Ground Plane Dependent With a hardened TPEE casing, this antenna is the ideal GPRS/UMTS antenna for telematics devices where larger antennas cannot be used. Like all small monopole antennas, it must be mounted on a ground-plane to radiate efficiently. The antenna should be mounted at the edge of the ground-plane of the mainboard of the device. See below charts for analysis of performance. A larger ground-plane of more than 100mm is needed for stable performance on all bands. Also no metal should be used near the antenna, with at least 20mm of clearance required, the more clearance the better.
